The Shadow

The Shadow

It waits,
It beckons,
It lures
me into the cape of Night.

It urges,
It pleads,
It begs
me to come into the Light.

I turn,
Left and Right.
Then,
I fall into the broken light.

Fighting with all my might,
Weary, worn and scarred
by the Night.

Into the Light,
I run,
I hide
from the darkness of the Night
In the shadow of Light
